What was the Kiwanis Kids Triathlon Series?
For nearly 20 years, the Kiwanis Kids Triathlon Series allowed young athletes to experience the fun and excitement of triathlon - an Olympic-type competition featuring swimming, cycling, and running. These races not only boosted self-esteem and confidence of the young athletes, they also gave families a positive, healthy activity to share. Races were typically held in Kingwood, Pearland, The Woodlands, Cy-Fair, Houston, and Katy. USA Triathlon sanctioned each race in the series.

Joining USA Triathlon
All participants had to join USA Triathlon to race in the Kiwanis Kids Triathlon series. Participants had the option of joining on race day, but pre-registration was strongly encouraged. The best option was to join USA Triathlon FIRST and then register online for the race. In 2014, annual memberships for youth were just $15.
From 2013-2014, Houston Sunrise and the Greater North Houston Kiwanis Clubs sponsored Race #2 of the Kiwanis Kids Triathlon Series at Stude Park.
